Holiday Sleigh Bell Themed Competition

Winning tracks were released on "WHYCOMP002 - Bells", released in December 2020

Visit Release Page

Rules:

1. Deadline: December 1st, 2020

2. If you use samples, they must be royalty free

3. Theme: Bells (you should create a track that embodies "sleigh bells"; perhaps this means you use bell recordings, synthesize the sound of a sleigh bell, use the festive holiday cheer as inspiration for your song / lyrics, create a winter soundscape using only sounds not heard in the wintertime, etc.)

4. You cannot use "bells" in your track title, as it is the album name

5. Your song must include the following chord: "D-minor 7 flat 5" AKA "F minor 6/A flat". Feel free to use this chord creatively in the harmonic structure of your song, as on its own, it can sound quite dissonant.

6. Please render your file properly. It should be a downloadable 16 bit 44.1Khz wav file.

7. Submit your final track mixed and mastered below!

Recommendations:

Use bells creatively in your final song; the less recognizable a type of bell is, the more chances you have of your song being selected in the final rendition.

Full Disclosure:
Members of WRC will be participating in the competition, as well as judging the tracks submitted. Our goal is to include as many tracks as possible, so we will probably not turn away a track unless it does not follow the rules or fit the criteria for the album. All proceeds made on this album go to the record label and are put towards promotion of the album and other releases.
